College Crusade staff and board members congregated at the RI State House yesterday to celebrate with our president & CEO Todd Flaherty as he received the Paul W. Crowley Award for 2014 from the RI State Superintendents’ Association. Speakers at the event included Senate President Teresa Paiva-Weed, Representative Joseph McNamara, Education Commissioner Deborah Gist, Chief of Staff Jennifer Wood from the Lt. Governor’s office, Superintendent Katherine Sipala of Narragansett, Senator Hanna Gallo, and Jaime Crowley, nephew of Paul Crowley and current principal of Thompson Middle School in Newport. The College Crusade is thrilled to congratulate Todd for this honor, which recognizes his longstanding commitment to improving the quality of education for the children of our state.
