STEM Is All in the Family

Family STEM Nights are happening! Middle school Crusaders who are participating in afterschool STEM workshops are getting a chance to show their families what they’ve been doing. Above, Alicia Martinez and her mom Flora Jose work on the design of a pinball board together. Below, Crusaders and family members from Bain Middle School and Segue Institute for Learning collaborate in design and problem solving.

Our afterschool STEM programming also includes hands-on exploration of electrical circuits, wind turbines, balls and tracks, buoyancy, polymers, and bridge building. Many thanks to Cox Charities for supporting afterschool STEM workshops for Crusdaders in a number of middle schools this year!
