“Do your work first, and have fun second. Get involved with campus activities. Don’t be afraid to ask for help right away.”

crowd shot2 IMG_3404Presenters at our Getting to College Conference offered these and many other important pieces of advice to Crusade seniors during a full day of workshops at E-Cubed Academy on Sat Oct 17. The conference was part of a two-day Prep for College Weekend event designed to move our seniors forward in the college admissions process. The day started with a panel discussion led by students and representatives from CCRI, Rhode Island College, and URI. Crusaders then attended five workshops on the college search, resume building, admissions 101, essay writing, and financial aid.

On the second day of Prep for College Weekend, Crusaders attended the Annual Regional College Fair sponsored by the Rhode Island Association of Admissions Officers and held at Rhode Island College on Sun Oct 18. Crusaders who attended the fair were able to meet with college representatives and learn more about institutions they may be interested in applying to.

Kudos to all our seniors who are working hard to get to college in 2016!
