Elite Machinez = Crusade Robotics

The First Tech Challenge robotics competition season has started! The College Crusade team, called Elite Machinez, is already meeting weekly for design and building sessions at Brown University. This year’s team has 13 members in grades 8, 9, and 10 from schools in Providence, Cranston, and Pawtucket. From left are: (front row) Evelyn Lopez, Andy Chao, Nataly Cruz, Randy Urena, Jamie Vargas, Isabella Lopez, and Emely Dilone; (back row) Kevin Aldana, Martin Gbadebo, Caleb Duplan, Rene Colato, Daniel Jiminez, Stephany Cruz, and team assistant Kevin Simmons, who is a Brown undergrad.

The Tech Challenge this year is called Block Party. It’s a great game! To see what our team has to design their robot to perform, go to the game page here.

Thank you to team mentor Associate Professor Jerry Daniels from the Brown University School of Engineering for providing assistance to our students as they create their robot. Go team!
