Destination: URI Discovery!

October was a month of discovery and exploration for 75 middle school Crusaders who visited the University of Rhode Island. On two Saturdays, October 10 and October 24, they toured campus, talked with current students, hunted down all the secret Rams signs in the student union, and went to football games. On the 24th, they enjoyed all the homecoming hoopla!

Many thanks to all the people who helped make our Discovery Days educational and fun: Sarah Miller, coordinator of URI’s Feinstein Center for Service Learning, and URI student leaders Christine Cataldo, Lisa Giudici, Megan McPhillips, Danielle Nessralla, Evan White, Amanda Padovano, and Ali DePeri. And thanks to College Crusade Advisors Mayamu Kamara and Steve Herrera for contributing their great photos!

URI students cooked up creative games and activities to help Crusaders learn about the campus. Here they offer advice while teams of Crusaders put together puzzles to read a secret message.

Brandon, Raquel, Kathryn, and Jonathan show off the Rams signs they collected during a scavenger hunt in the URI student union.
