Aim Your Thinking, Aim Your Future

Crusaders got a chance to think a lot about their futures during recent programs at Saturday Cru Club. On January 5, two career speakers took the stage at the Community College of Rhode Island and talked with a big audience of high school Crusaders about their experiences in making life choices and taking healthy risks in order to grow as people. Many thanks to Bahjat Shariff of Panera Bread and Jose Gonzalez of the Providence School Department for sharing their inspirational stories and insights with our students!

Meanwhile, 98 eighth-grade Crusaders participated in a program designed by our Advisory staff called High School Selection Day. They learned all about how to be ready for the new challenges that high school will bring next year. Topics covered how to establish good relationships with teachers, how to make sure they take the right courses, and how to prepare for senior projects and portfolios.

Below, Middle School Advisor David Miya talks with a classroom of 8th graders about the demands of high school. Congrats to everyone who attended these great Saturday programs. Keep on aiming your future in the direction of success!
