16 Summers Wins with Parents

College Crusade Family Engagement is hosting the 16 Summers program for families of Crusaders for 8 weeks throughout July and August. Over 40 families have been attending every week!

16 Summers is held on Tuesday nights at the Prairie Avenue Branch of the Providence Community Library. Participants learn about the benefits of higher education, financial planning for college, college admissions testing, and college application procedures. One feature of this multimedia program is a 40-minute film starring actor and musician Nick Cannon. (To see the trailer for 16 Summers, click here.)

At 16 Summers, our Family Engagement team has detailed conversations with parents and Crusaders about these important topics:

  • Why Continue My Education?
  • Course Requirements for Post-secondary Education
  • College Entrance Exams
  • Financial Planning for the Future
  • Financial Aid Options for Post-secondary Education
  • Federal Loans and the FAFSA
  • Career Exploration and Selecting a College
  • Completing your Application

Plus, everyone is having a great time!

16 Summers continues through August. For more information, contact us at family@thecollegecrusade.org. We thank the PCL Prairie Avenue Branch for providing space for our families to grow in their knowledge of higher education.
