We’d Like to Say… Thanks!

The College Crusade is very grateful for the generosity of all our funders, who make the work we do with our students possible. In particular, we’d like to thank a number of corporations and foundations for their generous recent contributions.

We are so appreciative of the Rhode Island Foundation for a $150,000 operating grant. The foundation has supported our work since the very early days and has been instrumental to our growth and success along the way. We are also grateful to Nellie Mae Education Foundation, which has supported our work for nearly 20 years and recently awarded us a grant for $50,000 to support our ReadMore literacy initiative. Special thanks to the National College Access Network, which has highlighted our work at its national conference with major awards in recent years and is currently supporting us with a $20,000 grant to build our capacity to advocate for our students at the federal level.

We welcome two new funders, the Carter Family Charitable Trust, which provided a $10,000 operating grant, and Wells Fargo which has awarded us a $7,500 grant to support our summer Crusade Adventure and Academic Program. We are grateful to the Providence Journal Charitable Legacy Fund for its continuing support in the form of a $7,500 operating grant and to our longtime friends at Weybosset Research & Management for their $7,000 donation. We also thank Andrade-Faxon Charities for Children for renewing their support of $5,000 for our middle school writing program.

We are honored by the trust and support of all our donors, who are helping young people to believe in themselves and to set and attain ambitious goals. On behalf of our Board, staff, students, and families, thank you for everything!

At top, College Crusade undergrads at Rhode Island College and their advisor Marangely Torres take a break from their monthly meeting for a photo with Lisa DiMartino from the Rhode Island Foundation.
