Senior portfolio highlights: A science piece on DNA mutations. A math piece on exponential growth and calculating the cost of college. Latest accomplishment: “Finishing my portfolio and doing well on it.” Latest challenge: “My most challenging thing all year was keeping my grades up.” Worked hardest on: Her chemistry class. About my Crusade Advisor: “He helped me a lot. He encouraged me to apply to a reach school, and I got in.” Will attend: University of Maine. To study: Pre-vet. Favorite Crusade program: SPIRIT. Because: “I used to be shy with people, and it helped me open up.” Advice for Crusaders going into high school: “Be yourself and don’t get into the wrong crowd.” What she looks for in a friend: “Someone who laughs at my jokes and doesn’t care about what other people think.” Biggest unknown about college: “How hard it will be to adjust to having a roommate.” Dream job: “Working in a zoo as a veterinarian.” In particular with: Lions. What she does for fun: Watches movies with friends. Favorite movie: We Bought a Zoo. Of course.
