College Crusade Advisors are at the heart of our services to students. They develop relationships with Crusaders, guide them in academic decisions, social development, and career exploration, and help them get ready for college. Meet our Advisors for 2014-2015, in order by first name:
Nathanael Greene Middle School
Anthony Fortes graduated from Proctor Academy, in Andover, N.H., in 2007. He then attended Bridgewater State University, earning a B.S. in Exercise Science in 2014. Anthony was born and raised in Providence and has worked extensively as a youth mentor and coach.
Woonsocket High School
Beacon Charter High School for the Arts
Brian Ahern graduated from Cranston High School West in 2009. He then earned a B.A. in Film/Media from the University of Rhode Island in 2014.
Mobile Advisor for Middle School
Brian Estrada, a former Crusader, graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 2009. He then attended Johnson & Wales University, where he earned a B.S. in Business Information Systems Analysis with a concentration in Graphic Design in 2013. Prior to joining the Crusade, he worked as Youth Program Assistant for South Providence Neighborhood Ministries.

Catalina Perez graduated from Tolman High School in 2005. She then attended Rhode Island College, where she earned a B.A. in Speech & Hearing Science in 2011. Catalina previously worked for the Crusade as a Community Advisor at Calcutt Middle School.

Chelsea Davignon graduated from Cumberland High School in 2011. She earned a dual B.A. in Psychology & Justice Studies from the University of New Hampshire in 2015. Prior to joining our staff, Chelsea served as a Corps Member with City Year in Providence.

Dwayne graduated from Central High School in 1997. He went on to attend Rhode Island College and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology.

Hope High School
Dymond Bush graduated from Providence Country Day School in 2009. She earned a B.S. in Sports Management from Hampton University in 2012, and went on to earn an M.S. in Kinesiology with a specialization in Sport Management and Policy from the University of Georgia in 2014. Prior to joining the Crusade, Dymond served as an AmeriCorps Education Fellow for The Learning Community Charter School, a Tutor for Upward Bound, and Program Assistant for the National Association for Girls and Women in Sports.
Gilbert Stuart Middle School
Elaine De La Rosa graduated from William B. Cooley Health Science and Technology Academy in 2011. She earned a B.A. in Human Development & Family Studies and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Rhode Island in 2015. Prior to joining our Advisory staff, Elaine worked as a behavior specialist with developmentally disabled children and young adults.

Emily Teixeira, a former Crusader, graduated from Shea High School in 2012. She attended the University of Rhode Island and earned a B.A. in Psychology in 2016. Prior to joining our Advisory staff, she worked for West Bay Residential Services as a Direct Support Professional and as a mentor for our Crusade Adventure and Academic Program.

Eric Calogianes received a B.A. in English from SUNY Stony Brook in 2008. He then moved to Rhode Island, where he became active within Providence’s public schools. He served two terms as a City Year corps member. Prior to his current position as a College Advisor, he served as an Crusade Advisor at Classical High School for five years.
