Letters of Thanks

Middle school and high school Crusaders wrote lots of thank-you letters to friends and supporters of The College Crusade this year. Among the recipients were Sen. Jack Reed, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, Rep. Patrick Kennedy, and Rep. James Langevin, along with generous funders such as Bank of America, Amgen Foundation, Textron, June Rockwell Levy Foundation, Joukowsky Family Foundation, and Andrade-Faxon Charities for Children. In their letters, they described how our programs have helped them get ready for college and shared plans they were making for future careers. Here is what some of these Crusaders intend to do:

  • To attend college, pursue a degree in dentistry, and one day own a dental office, 11th grader, Central Falls High School
  • To attend college and major in business, 11th grader, Central High School
  • To become an ultrasound technician, 10th grader, Textron Chamber of Commerce Academy
  • To go to college and get my bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, 9th grader, Cranston High School
  • To pursue a degree in elementary education and hopefully one day open my own charter school, 12th grader, Central Falls High School
  • To be the CEO of a multimillion dollar corporation, 11th grader, Central High School
  • To go to medical school and become a pediatrician, 9th grader, Classical High School
  • To major in veterinary medicine and pre-veterinary care, 11th grader, Mount Pleasant High School
  • To go to college and become a pharmacist, 10th grader, Cumberland High School
  • To become a neonatal nurse or pediatrician, to help kids and make them feel better, 9th grader, Mount Pleasant High School
  • To major in business or marketing, 11th grader, Tolman High School
  • To attend college, major in secondary education, and teach English, 11th grader, Central High School
  • To major in business administration and pursue a career in accounting or finance, 12th grader, Classical High School
  • To double major in business and nursing, 12th grader, Woonsocket High School
  • To double major in psychology and hospitality, and then pursue a master’s degree, 11th grader, Textron Chamber of Commerce Academy
  • To go to college and be a physical therapist, 9th grader, Woonsocket High School
  • To study architecture, 11th grader, Lincoln High School
  • To become a fashion designer, 9th grader, Woonsocket High School
  • To attend college and be a journalist, 11th grader, Shea High School
  • To pursue a degree in criminal justice and become a private investigator, 12th grader, Central Falls High School
  • To major in technology and become a computer technician, 12th grader, Mount Pleasant High School
  • To get my master’s in psychology, 12th grader, Tolman High School
  • To become an accountant, 12th grader, E-Cubed Academy
  • To be a child psychologist, 11th grader, Central Falls High School
  • To obtain my degree in culinary arts, 11th grader, Textron Chamber of Commerce Academy
