Crusaders Sweep RI Science Fair

Categories

Middle school Crusaders from Times2 Academy placed 1-2-3 in the Rhode Island Science and Engineering Fair, which took place on March 16 at the CCRI Warwick campus. Here’s who they are, with a description of their winning projects:

George Dauda, grade 8, won 1st place with a project titled “Creating a Video Game for the Blind.” George chose this topic because it directly relates to his career goal of working in graphic design, and more specifically in game design.

Jonathan Ricaldy, grade 7, won 2nd place with a project titled “Static Electricity and Light.” His presentation showed how static electricity can be used to make a light bulb turn on.

Lesley Garcia, grade 7, won 3rd place with a project titled “How Do Video Games Affect Reaction Time?” Leslie focused on testing physical speed/accuracy in relation to video game use.

Congratulations to these science champs for your great accomplishments! We are proud of you!
