Our annual Parent Recognition Night on Thursday, June 25, celebrated another successful school year with a full house of Crusade families in attendance. Family Engagement Coordinator Candace Harper welcomed a large audience of parents and Crusaders and introduced our special guest speakers: William Formicola, Senior Vice President of Operations; Laurel Shepard, Associate Director of Admissions & Family Engagement; and Lauren Schechtman, Associate Director for Integrated Support Services.

A feature of the event was recognition of Crusaders who achieved top honors in earning Challenge Patches in mathematics from Khan Academy. We were thrilled to recognize Joshua Osagie, Joseph Osagie, Edwin Tejada, Kevin Aldana, and Naszarine Rivera for their accomplishment. Rony Ramos, vice president of our 2015 Parent Council, acknowledged the contributions of all our parent council members this year. And then – the grand finale – we recognized 60 parents for high participation in Crusade Family Engagement activities for the 2014-2015 school year.

Congratulations to all our Crusade families for supporting their children on the path to higher education. We thank Enma Velasquez, our Family Engagement Assistant, and our Crusade Family Liaisons for the important work they do to keep our parents engaged. They are Dayanarah Baez, Claudia Galeano, Jenny Garcia, and Evelyn Infante.
