Why Your Child Should Apply

Since 1989, we have helped more than 20,000 children just like yours prepare for higher education. Our customized programs provide the advantages that students need, and our staff of College Crusade advisors offers guidance along the way. Your child will also receive financial aid for college.

Advisors who care

College Crusade advisors begin working with students in 6th grade and continue supporting them throughout college. Our advisors are a diverse group of young professionals who understand the challenges that young people face. They know what your child needs to do to get ready for college. Most of all, our advisors care! Crusaders think of our advisors as trusted friends who are always there to help them with the everyday things that could keep them from succeeding in school and in life.

Engaging college-readiness programs

Our college readiness programs and services provide the advantages your child needs to prepare for success in higher education. They include:

  • After-school, Saturday, vacation, and summer programs
  • Leadership development
  • Career exploration activities
  • College application workshops
  • College visits
  • SAT preparation
  • Assistance with financial aid forms

Best of all, our programs and services are no cost to you.

Help with the high cost of college

College Crusade Scholarships can make college more affordable for your child. Crusaders who are financially eligible can receive donated scholarships from postsecondary institutions in Rhode Island and from other colleges and universities in our Scholarship Collaborative. Crusaders also have the opportunity to apply for grants to help with college expenses beyond tuition and fees.
