The College Crusade was awarded the 2016 Khanfidence Builder Award from the National College Access Network and The College Board. The award, announced during NCAN’s annual conference in Detroit, “recognizes a college access/success organization for incorporating Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy into their program to build students’ readiness for the SAT and college.” To read more, click here.

National College Access Network
The College Crusade was awarded the 2015 College Access Organization Award of Excellence from the National College Access Network. The award, announced during NCAN’s annual conference in Orlando, “recognizes the work of a college access/success program that is committed to college access and success so that all students, especially those underrepresented in postsecondary education, can achieve their educational dreams.” To read more, click here.

CollegeKeys Compact / The College Board
The College Crusade of Rhode Island received a 2012 CollegeKeys Compact Innovation Award from the College Board and was honored at a luncheon in Boston in January 2012. The CollegeKeys Compact is committed to the belief that all underserved students have a right to an affordable, accessible, and successful college experience. The College Crusade was recognized for demonstrating innovation and efficacy in increasing the percentage of low-income RI students who get ready for college successfully.

Providence Business News
The College Crusade was the recipient of a 2011 Business Excellence Award from the Providence Business News and was honored at an awards dinner in November 2011. The event, which is sponsored by one of the region’s longest-running and best-known business recognition programs, showcases organizations and individuals from across the state for their excellence, leadership, and community involvement. Adoption Rhode Island
In 2007, a group of high school Crusaders organized a large collection drive for Adoption Rhode Island on behalf of teens waiting for adoption. All together, 26 students from 17 high schools throughout Central Falls, Pawtucket, Providence, and Woonsocket got involved in running the project. They developed a wish list of items that teens need and managed collection drives in their own schools. Donated items included clothing, school and art supplies, personal care products, music CDs, store certificates, toys and games, and other thoughtful gifts.

The New England Board of Higher Education launched the New England Higher Education Excellence Awards in 2003 to recognize individuals and institutions that have made substantive contributions to improving higher education opportunities for New England students.
