2 students reading2Dozens of middle school Crusaders participating in our Wheeler Summer Program packed a lot into their days in July and August. They read the novel The Christopher Killer by Alane Ferguson, solved endless mind-bender puzzles in their morning critical-thinking workshops, learned hands-on forensic analysis skills, and worked together in teams to design group shelters on the grounds of Wheeler Camp.

Above, standing under their very solid shelter roof are (from left) Jason Soto-Garcia, Sebastian Nina, Aaron Aguilar, Christian Godinez, and Jonathan Cruz. At left, Mackenzie Parada and Amy Kosanovong focus intently on their books. Below, Crusaders in the process of creating a shelter village are (from left) Aminata Fall, Anya Lora, Monica Ballon, Victoria Kemmeth, Ibiolatiwa Akomolafe, Dejanira Vega, Kaylen Castellanos, and Esperanza Guevara.

Thank you to Wheeler School for hosting our students!
