jon camadeco2.JPGJonathan Camadeco ’03 (Rogers High School) graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2007 with a B.S. in Business Management and a Minor in Economics. He currently works at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston in the Electronic Payments and Treasury Services department. Jon feels strongly that his experience as a Crusader made college possible for him. “The Crusade made all the difference in providing me the opportunity to attend college,” he says. “Everything – from campus visits to SAT prep classes and help paying for application fees – made college a more attainable goal. Without the scholarship I received from the Crusade, college simply wouldn’t have been a possibility, and I am extremely grateful for the help they provided.”

Jon also appreciated the personal support he received as a Crusader. “The Advisors offered guidance and encouragement that helped me to be informed about the college process and have the confidence and knowledge to follow through,” he adds. “The Crusade showed me that following a path of positivity and working hard toward high goals is something that can work for anyone with a little bit of help.”

At URI Jon, along with his twin brother, Mike, were volunteer DJs for a weekly radio show on WRIU 90.3FM. Today, they have taken that hobby to the next level. “I have always been an advocate to find ways to pursue hobbies and express creativity in addition to being focused on academics and a career,” Jon says. “Besides working 9 to 5, I am a DJ in Boston and getting paid to have fun. Never be afraid to follow your dreams!”
