Christopher Fernandes ’01

Christopher Fernandes ’01 (Cumberland High School) graduated from Rhode Island College in 2006 with a B.S. in Physical Education, Health Education, and Adapted Physical Education. He is currently employed by the Cumberland School Department, where he works as an Adapted Physical Education Teacher. He also coaches the Cumberland Middle School cross country team and the Cumberland High School girls indoor and outdoor track and field teams.

Christopher appreciates the financial aid he received from The College Crusade. “The Crusade program supported me financially throughout my time at Rhode Island College,” he says. “With their financial support I was able to pay for tuition and buy books. Without the Crusade program, I probably would not have been able to afford school and would have missed out on a great opportunity.”
