She went on to earn her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 2008. Saikon works as an associate attorney specializing in civil litigation for Adler Pollock & Sheehan, in Providence. In addition, she serves as the National College Chapters Coordinator for Youth Action International , which is a nonprofit organization geared toward supporting and empowering war-affected children in Africa.

“I am grateful to have been a member of the first graduating class of Crusaders,” she says. “The program was essential in preparing me for college and helping me achieve my dreams. The counselors and mentors provided me with a lot of support, guidance, and encouragement.” Saikon remembers one mentor in particular named Claudia. “It was quite clear that it was more than just a job,” she says. “She really cared about us!”
